A Cure for Parvo if caught on time....

I looked everywhere on the Internet to find something that I could do for my little pup. She usually was so peppy and hyper. She is a Chihuahua after all! But she seemed different and I couldn't place my finger on what the problem was until... She had several spots that she started with the runs, which smelled worse than any other accident that she has had. I began cleaning one area and there was another for me to clean. Then came the gagging. She threw up several times and it wasn't like a hairball or anything... she actually threw up what appeared to be phlegm covered in foam. I was beside myself on what to do for her. She laid around not wanting to move... not even to play with her favorite ball. She just picked up her head and let it drop back down. When I'd pick her up, she was limp. As I hugged her, you could feel the heat from her body all over. I didn't have the money to take her to the vet, but I couldn't just watch as she wasted away.....
While researching the Internet for possibilities as to what was her problem, I rediscovered Parvo. I had been through this with another dog who went to the vet and they had to keep overnight. They charged me almost $1100 to save her. And while I realize that they did do just that, I couldn't afford to have it happen again. See Parvo is a fatal disease to dogs... Kinda like AIDS to humans or Leukemia to cats. It attacks the intestines, bone marrow, and white blood cells in dogs. This can cause them to go into shock and with all probability die from the dehydration that comes from loss of appetite and throwing up as well as the loose stools. In fact, 80% of the dogs that have Parvo actually have died within the first 4 days of showing any symptoms. They've died because of dehydration that the disease leads to. But there is a cure that doesn't involve the high cost of the vet if it is caught early enough in the disease.... as I found while doing my research...
It really is simple. There are several remedies out there... but this one surprisingly did the trick for my little one and I use it still to this day as a preventative measure so she stays in good health from this and other sicknesses out there... (By the way... This is good for humans too...)
This is cost efficient and well worth the money that it does cost to save their life..... My Chihuahua was up playing within the first hour and completely off the medicine later that night. Also this works as a preventative measure as well. It's all natural so there are no harmful side effects. I give this to both of my dogs once per month to ensure that this doesn't happen again.
Hope you have the same benefits. Good luck! Hope yours does just as well....
Things you will need, include:
- 1 cup of Pedialyte - Used to replenish them of their needed hydration
- 2 tea bags of Peppermint with Spearmint tea (e.g. Bigelow's Mint Medley) or 1 bag of Peppermint and 1 bag of Spearmint tea. (NO CAFFEINE) - Used for easing stomach cramps, nausea, and vomiting. It also aids digestion and diminishes gas and bloating.
- 2 tea bags of chamomile (NO CAFFEINE) - Used to calm the pet. It helps to lower their fever causing them to feel better and increase their appetite
- 1 teaspoon of honey - Used to boost the blood sugar levels to provide energy and white cell formation
- 2 capsules of Echinacea (found by the vitamins in any pharmacy) - Used for building immunities.
- 250mg of MSM with Glucosamine (found by the vitamins in any pharmacy) - Used for rebuilding cartilage and joints, giving them their pep back and reducing their pain.
- Syringe to administer the medicine.
Heat 1 cup of Pedialyte until it is hot...Add the 2 tea bags of mint tea, 2 tea bags of chamomile tea, empty 2 capsules of Echinacea, 1 teaspoon of honey, and 250mg of MSM with Glucosamin... Stir it well and let it cool for 20 minutes.
The tea is best if given warm so run the oral syringe under warm tap water before giving the dose.
Follow the dosing chart to ensure the proper dosing for your pet.
Give one dose, wait 15 minutes, give another dose, then give a dose every hour after that until noticeable improvement.
Keep in mind... like a child whose fever comes down after taking medicine... they will show signs of improvement and then fall ill again. Just keep with the recommended doses for at least a 24-hour span.
Give one dose, wait 15 minutes, give another dose, then give a dose every hour after that until noticeable improvement.
